SEO and Backlink Building

Filed in: Affiliate Programs, Blogging by Justin Harrison on 01-04-10

Backlinks can help raise your site from the bottom on the barrel to the top of the search engine list. This kind of feat takes more than just good SEO tactics on your site. It takes a few quality backlinks from others. Backlinks are links from other websites or blogs that link to your website. Some good backlinks will do more than anything you do on your own site. When using search engines such as Google, Yahoo, or MSN, when someone chooses to link to your site it is as if they have voted for your site. Someone valued your content enough to link to your site, thus it must be important. The more people there are visiting your site, the more obviously important it is. When you use the internet for your business, make sure you put as much information that you can about it. This will help people get to know who you are and what you are trying to sell them. And if you are up front, then you will get repeat business. This is the reason that you need to anchor text of links that are incoming to the top keywords when you can. Now that you know why backlinks are critical, let’s discover some ways to make them happen. The best way to get links to your site is to offer content that is high-quality and unique. Try being controversial or different. This will make people link to your site. To the extent possible, simplify the process of reaching your web site from other web sites. One way to do this is by offering a “Link to Us” section, with copy/paste-able html segments. Obviously you should embed keywords in the anchor text of your site. All you have to do is write a few articles and request that they be listed in article directories. Webmasters will select them to be posted on other sites with a link to your site. With just one article you can get many links back to your site. Or you can directly contact sites that fall into your field and ask if you can be a regular contributor. The Reality Behind Cost Per Action Marketing

Filed in: Affiliate Programs by trevor weir on 12-24-09

It certainly is real. Cost per action marketing has not been part of internet marketing since the inception but in the past 3 years it has certainly taken off. When you look at it, it appears to be a lot like Affiliate marketing. It is all about getting referrals, it resembles affiliate marketing in that it is about the results that are achieved from the referrals.

The biggest of the differences is that there is nothing sold in order to earn a commission. The CPA marketing is about nothing more than getting the referral to take action on something. The whole goal is to have the person click a certain button.

Can People Really Make Money With Safelists

Filed in: Traffic Generation by Brian Tubbs on 12-01-09

There are loads of safelists online that you can use to send your email messages out to other members. The question is, is it worth your time and effort?

One of the biggest issues with safelists is the fact that each one usually only has a few hundred members. Imagine getting the same emails every day, trying to sell you the same thing.

Best Linkbaiting Techniques

Filed in: Traffic Generation by Jerry Monty on 11-28-09

Linkbaiting is is something we (webmasters) do whether we realize it or not! We all try (hopefully) to write compelling, high quality content, that deserves to get linked to. So when you get one of those completely "natural" back links, I mean, it just doesn’t get any better than that does it? It always brings a smile to my face!

Producing content that prompts other webmasters to want to tell the world they need to visit your site, is the very best form of flattery to my way of thinking!
